Victoria gave me a lovely set of silk fat quarters....autumn colours
I tried them out with this star today, which is paper pieced from a free carol doak template
The silk was quite fragile to deal with, maybe I should have interfaced it before cutting?
I used the interfacing V , but only after making the star, should I have used it before cutting pieces out ? thanks for your experience ladies I LOVE SILK!
Veilene Silky Soft, or extremely light weight fusable interfacing will stop it fraying :)
ReplyDeleteYep... use the fusible interfacing I sent you home with...they will work much better... it looks like you did GREAT with it though! It's GORGEOUS!!!

It looks fabulous!! But yes, you should have used the interfacing first for sure. Definitely cuts down the fraying to virtually nothing!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jackie
